Advanced prosthetics
Prosthetics, particularly those for the arm and hand, were once crude extensions and metal tools. Recent advances have introduced articulated joints and fingers, while technologies like 3D-printed prosthetics make these devices lighter and more intuitive. The next generation of technologies will bring direct nerve integration that will allow patients to control prosthetics by thought, and even restore a sense of touch.
